The Punisher / Punisher: War Zone (Two-Pack) (2011)

The movies come as two fully cased movies wrapped together with cellophane. I expected two disks in one case. This is not a big deal, but good information to know (especially if you are running out of room in the media cabinet, like I am.)

1. This was great how they put both Punisher movies in one Blu-Ray pack!

The PunisherIt my been a little too slow at parts, but it was well filmed and when the action starts it's really hardcore! Especially the fight between the Punisher (Thomas Jane) and the Russian (Kevin Nash)! It's one of the goofiest and violent fights you'll ever see! Plus the movie has a great cast with John Travolta as the lead villan! Over all; this movie was a great story about death, grief, revenge, and lots of guns! My grade; B+ ,or; four stars!

The Punisher: War ZoneThe kept true to the comic books for the most part, but the movie went a little too over the top with the violence, to choppy with the story's pace, plus Ray Stevenson had little more to do than look gloomy half the time! But the action is a little more hardcore than the first movie, a most of the characters are memorable! My grade; C ,or; two stars!

Bottom line: if you are a Punisher fan, this Blu-Ray is for you!

Both movies are great but I enjoy the first a little more. Definitely films I will watch again and again.

"Punisher" was really good (four stars). It had action and decent story-telling. I would call it superior by far to the one that starred Dulf Lundgren that came out several years ago. Would suggest it to comic book fans and fans of good action films.

"War Zone" wasn't as good (2.5 stars) It had a different actor and the storytelling was lacking, and it also didn't really transition from the first film. Although the action sequences were ok, I would only suggest it to die-hard fans.
