I expected this to be a grand martial arts movie with lots of action scenes. Instead I found a really well told story with lots to consider. Thoroughly enjoyable.

this movie is only a modern adaption of the movie "rashomon" by akira kurosawa. get the original instead.

there are very little changes to kurosawas version.
