As a magical girl Sayaka is able to save Madoka and Hitomi from a witch. She is also able to cure the one she loves from a paralyzing accident. Madoka on the other hand feels guilty about not wanting to become a magical girl. After Hitomi tells Sayaka that she is going to confess her feelings to the boy they both have a crush on Sayaka begins to have feelings of jealousy, anger, regret, and hatred. She begins to act recklessly and alienates her friends. The darkness is beginning to consume her. Madoka is powerless and scared. She doesn't know how to help her friend. The only thing she can think of is becoming a magical girl and finding a way to help Sayaka.This chapter is great. It is a little different than the first. This part focuses more on Sayaka and her wavering feelings. She is consumed by darkness and jealousy. These 4 episodes are a bit darker than the first 4. They are very serious and emotional. The loss and pain of the characters is easy to feel. It is quite emotional. Even though the mood is darker you can feel hope on the horizon. Madoka is becoming more interested in becoming a magical girl, and she wants to do it to save her friends soul. Things are getting very serious, and someone is about to experience a terrible fate.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a great anime series. The only complaint I have is the Aniplex release. They are only putting 4 episodes in each release. That ticks me off. Other than that this is an awesome show and I can't wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend it to any anime fan.
